Koji Murakami

Koji Murakami is a 4th degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Julio "Foca" Fernandez of Carlson Gracie team and is head instructor and owner of the Mile-End Jiu-Jitsu Club.

Koji left Japan in 1994 and began training at BJJ Revolution Team in Vermont. 

After moving to Montreal in 1998, Koji opened one of the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools in the province. Since then, his main focus has been on teaching. Koji has shared his passion for BJJ with his students, many of which have become high-level athletes and have also opened their own schools. 

For Koji, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is not just a sport, it is a lifestyle that provides an opportunity to gain personal achievement through dedication and hard work.
